Football Clubs Social Media ranking in December 2011

Football Marketing World Clubs Social Media ranking. The chart presented below show the number of Twitter “followers” and Facebook “likes” for each football club. The teams are ranked by their combined number of fans across the two sites. We only tracked the sites / account identified as “official”. Many teams have a lot of unofficial Facebook and Twitter accounts but only “official sites” were monitored.

IN
AS Roma have launched their new Twitter and Facebook accounts in October as part as their global online marketing revamp and are now entering the top 30 ranking. Vasco da Gama are also new in this ranking which confirms the strong Brazilian clubs presence on social networks.

OUT
Napoli, despite an impressive Champions League campaign, exit the ranking in December, mainly due to their absence on Twitter. CF America are also out of the ranking as we are currently unable to access their facebook’s account.
