French Ligue 1 side Olympique de Marseille have launched a new shirt which was created and chosen by fans. The winning shirt was created by Marseille fan Mathieu.

Marseille had invited fans to design the shirt in February. The innovative platform used by MiTeam adidas meant that users could work in detail to create the new shirt.

The competition was a success as more than 60,000 designs had been proposed. The top shirts were selected by a jury and then fans voted for the best shirt through Marseille’s Facebook page.

The new shirt, as designed by Mathieu is mainly a black polo shirt with the adidas 3-stripes in gold on the shoulders and sleeves, with the Betclic (sponsor logo) also in gold on the front center part of the shirt. adidas have their logo on the top right part of the chest with the club badge on the opposite left.

The shirt will be used for their next match against Caen and even possibly for the remaining rounds of the French cup as well as being the fourth option for the French Ligue 1.
