Puma, the sportswear brand, has signed Sergio Agüero, the Argentinian star footballer now playing for Manchester City, in a long-term deal that will see him front the brand’s advertising campaigns.

It is understood that Agüero will act as a brand ambassador and be central to Puma’s future marketing campaigns.

In recent weeks Agüero has been testing PUMA boots as he has made a scintillating start to his Premiership career, bagging an astonishing seven goals in just four appearances for big spending City. The v1.11 Speed Boot that Agüero will wear is the lightest football boot we’ve ever made and the performance characteristics of the v1.11 were a major reason for Kun committing his future to PUMA.
