Japanese photography giant Fujifilm has announced partnerships with Bundesliga sides Bayer 04 Leverkusen and 1899 Hoffenheim.

Under terms of the agreements, the brand will promote its FinePix digital cameras using LED advertising hoardings within the stadiums of both clubs.

As a third level sponsor for 1899 Hoffenheim, the fee to be paid by Fujifilm, according to sponsors.de, will be about €100,000 (US$142,000) per year, while the brand’s fourth level sponsorship of Bayer 04 Leverkusen will cost the company a five-figure euro sum.

Christopher Brawley, managing director of Fujifilm Electronic Imaging Europe, said: “With our commitment to Bayer 04 Leverkusen and at 1899 Hoffenheim we want to increase brand awareness for our FinePix digital cameras. The Football League is a far-reaching and strong emotional communication platform optimized to achieve this goal. Bayer 04 Leverkusen and 1899 Hoffenheim are ambitious clubs and the ideal partners. We look forward to a successful collaboration.”

Fujifilm has previously served as an official sponsor of the Fifa World Cup from 1982 to 2006.
