English-based toy manufacturers Pattni Imaginations Ltd have signed a deal with Spanish football giants FC Barcelona for a range of Barcelona-branded football action figures.

The signing with the Catalan club marks the first action figure deal with a football club outside of the UK Pattini already have the ‘big four’ clubs in England: Arsenal, Liverpool, Manchester United and Chelsea on their portfolio. The action figures have movable heads, shoulders, arms, waists, legs, knees and ankles and are set to hit retail outlets in 2011 across the UK.

Mayur Pattni, Pattni Imaginations’ managing director said of the deal: “FC Barcelona is a massive football club and it’s fantastic to be adding a European flavor to our new range. We now have five of the biggest names in world football on board and we are confident that our innovative range of action figures will perform extremely well at retail.”

FC Barcelona is one of the biggest clubs in the world having won the Spanish league, 20 times, as well claiming the European Cup/Uefa Champions League on three separate occasions.

Pattni Imaginations Ltd were established in 2009 and since establishing themselves well in the UK market, are now aiming to expand primarily into western Europe.
