Betfair unveils fan penalty competition

Online betting company Betfair is launching an online campaign giving its customers the chance to go head-to-head in a penalty shootout at both Old Trafford and Camp Nou.



The Betfair Penalty Champions campaign will give supporters the opportunity to represent their club in the two-legged European contest, taking place at both venues during half-time of a first team match.



Betfair customers can opt-in via the campaign website for the chance to be one of ten penalty takers that will also be given a penalty master class by a club legend at their respective training grounds.



The session will be filmed and hosted online where members of the public will be asked to vote for their favorite penalty and the top three will go through.



The six winners will also get VIP travel to the stadiums, signed merchandise and £250 credited to their Betfair account.



Betfair’s Head of UK Marketing Matt Booth said: ‘Manchester United and FC Barcelona are two of the biggest clubs in the world. As partners of both, this campaign is a great way of giving money-can’t-buy opportunities back to our customers.’
