São Paulo-based Corinthians Paulista has released the Nike 2011 third kit that is will use for this year’s Campeonato Brasileiro Série A and Copa do Brasil campaigns.

The Corinthians Nike 2011 third shirt features a print of St. George (or São Jorge in Portuguese), the patron saint of the club. It also has a collar with “1949″ imprinted on its back. The print and maroon color of the jersey are a tribute to the Torino team that won the 1943, 1946, 1947, 1948 and 1949 Italian Serie A titles before perishing in a plane crash on May 4th, 1949.

The Corinthians Nike 2011 third kit will be used for the first time on Sunday when the team meets Coritiba in the second round of the Campeonato Brasileiro Série A.
