Everton FC Secure Japan Mobile Deal

8 February 2011 No Comment

Everton Football Club has signed a lucrative mobile phone deal in Japan to sell exclusive content to an emerging fan base.

The new contract with CWS Brains, a leading mobile content provider in Japan, means Japanese Toffees will be able to download Everton news, ringtones, wallpapers, screensavers and videos of their favourite players straight to their mobile devices.

The CWS Brains ‘Soccer Membership’ is a highly successful subscription based service, which is offered across different platforms and networks in Japan.

Everton join other top Premier League clubs including Manchester United and Arsenal in partnering with CWS Brains, who boast an impressive database of over 150,000 customers.

Mark Rowan, Head of Media and Communications at Everton, said: “We are delighted to have secured a deal with CWS Brains. The Everton fanbase is going from strength to strength across Asia and we hope to reach as many supporters as possible using a range of media platforms.

“Mobile media is evolving at quite a pace and this deal demonstrates how we are communicating and engaging with Everton fans across the globe.”

This is the third content deal for Everton in Asia, as the Club’s popularity across the continent continues to grow thanks to Everton’s strong links with main partner Chang, who are based in Thailand. The Club also boasts agreements with companies in India and China.
